Older populations are especially vulnerable to loneliness and social isolation. According to a Time Magazine article published in 2019, “Research shows that chronic loneliness can impact older adults’ memory, physical well-being, mental health, and life expectancy.” This lack of companionship is a growing issue in the United States and Listen One wants to help. We want to offer Sharers the opportunity to make connections with our Listeners to improve their health and quality of life. We strive to bring joy and comfort to anyone looking for somebody to talk to, no matter who they are or what they have to say.
